Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue): What is it?
Emotionally Intelligent leaders understand their own and other people’s emotions and have the ability to use emotional information to guide how they think, respond and behave.
I partner with Thomas International to provide their Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue). The TEIQue is an emotional intelligence assessment that helps you to understand how well individuals respond and manage their emotions, interpret and deal with the emotions of others and use this knowledge to manage relationships.
The TEIQue model is a trait-based framework focusing on a person’s self-perceptions of their emotional abilities, rather than their actual performance. This model was developed by Konstantinos Petrides.
The TEIQue model is structured into 4 factors and 15 facets:

TEIQue: How the test works
Assessment Process: Each participant receives a unique weblink to access the questionnaire. It consists of 153 statements, rated on a scale from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree", designed to measure key emotional intelligence traits.
Time to complete: The assessment typically takes around 30-35 minutes to complete. There’s no strict time limit, allowing participants to work at their own pace.
Validation: Registered with the British Psychological Society and audited against technical criteria established by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations.

TEIQue: The results report
When the candidate has completed the TEIQue assessment, they are provided with a report which details their emotional intelligence across 15 facets, split into 5 different categories.
